Payment must be made with order. Material may be returned for any reason per our Return Policy.All items are guaranteed to be as described and all major defects are noted. Please read our Book Descriptions page to see how we grade the condition of our books.
All autographed and signed material and/or historical manuscripts, documents, letters, etc. are guaranteed to be authentic and original. Authenticity is guaranteed for the lifetime of the original purchaser.
We are members of the A.B.A.A. & I.L.A.B. (Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America - International League of Antiquarian Booksellers). We abide by their Code of Ethics.
Online & Phone Ordering
Our shopping cart is meant to be easy and simple to use. When you see a book you wish to purchase, or consider purchasing, add it to your cart. We provide simple instructions as your navigate through our site to remove, modify, or add additional books, and to see estimated shipping costs, before you proceed to our secure ordering form.

Payment Options
We accept VISA & Master Card, bank wire transfers, personal and business checks, money orders. We do not accept American Express, Discover, Paypal or COD.
Overseas customers who wish to pay by check or money order, must pay on a USA or Canadian bank payable in US Funds only. Please do not send us cash in the mail.
Institutions and libraries may be invoiced and billed to accommodate their billing requirements. Established customers may also request to be invoiced.
Unless otherwise agreed, all items are payable and due upon receipt.
All items remain the property of Ian Brabner, Bookseller until payment has been remitted and cleared.

Shipping Books ship within 24 hours via the United States Post Office. All books are wrapped with care, well-padded, and shipped boxed.
Within the USA Shipping is $7 for the first book, $2 for each additional book. Domestic orders include free delivery confirmation and are sent via United States Priority mail.
International Orders Books are shipped by International Priority Air Mail for $15 for the first book. Oversized or heavy books may not be able to ship at this cost. If this is the case, we will quote other forms of air mail delivery.
Return Policy
USA book orders are returnable for any reason within 12 days of receipt provided they are received in the condition as sent.
Overseas orders are returnable within 30 days of receipt.

Returns made without our prior approval will be subject to a delay in refund. Contact us first!
Returns within the USA after twelve days from date of receipt may be requested in the case of extenuating circumstances. To discourage "library lenders" genealogy and family history books are not returnable.

Our shopping cart system utilizes SSL (Secure Socket Layer) Encryption. This is the safest encryption technology available to keep your information confidential and private when you use our secure order form.
When you enter our security zone you will see the change from http:// to https:// in the URL location bar at the top of your browser. Also, in Netscape you will see a closed lock in the bottom left of your screen. In Internet Explorer you will see this lock symbol or a key. Once your data it is transmitted it is then permanently deleted from our secure server.

If you discover an unauthorized charge on your account, you must first notify your credit card issuer in accordance with their reporting procedures and rules. Your bank can not hold you liable for more than $50 of fraudulent charges under United States Federal Law.
If your bank holds you liable for any or all of the maximum $50 amount, Ian Brabner, Bookseller will reimburse you for this charge. We guarantee this reimbursement provided that the unauthorized and fraudulent use of your credit card resulted from purchases at www.ibrarebooks.com while using our secure server and resulted through no fault of your own.
Privacy
We value our customer's privacy and respect their wishes in this regard. Never, at any time, will your information be either sold or shared to third parties for any reason or in any form. We do not share your purchase history. We do not sell phone numbers, email addresses or street addresses. Ever.
